The terrace, the garden and the beach, in one afternoon.
Forty-nine frames from a wedding at Four Seasons Resort Seychelles, on the south-west of Mahé. The ceremony was under a draped gazebo on the sand, and the portraits used everything the hillside gives you: a terrace above the sea, a walled garden with a stone wall and a lily pond, and the beach beneath the trees.
Petite Anse is a private cove on the south-west coast of Mahé, and Four Seasons runs up the hillside behind it. The height is the point. A ceremony on the beach and portraits on a terrace above the coast are five minutes apart, and the garden between them has an old stone wall that photographs like nowhere else on the island.

The ceremony
The gazebo was dressed with frangipani and drapes, with petals on the sand. The registrar read at the table by the sea, the couple exchanged rings and signed, and toasted with champagne under the drapes. A conch shell filled with sand held the rings beside the bouquet.
The terrace and the garden
The terrace frames were made with the hills and sea behind, her train spread on the stone. The garden gave us the wooden bridge, the lily pond, the stone wall and a rope swing at the beach edge. The tallest tree on the property makes the couple look very small, which is the frame we like most.
The beach
The last frames were on the sand under the takamaka branches, walking the shoreline with the granite behind, and laughing. Petite Anse faces west, so the light at the end of an afternoon wedding comes in low across the water.
