We are photographers and wedding people, not a travel agency, so we will not pretend to sell you a package we do not run. What we can do is tell you honestly how couples turn a Seychelles wedding into the honeymoon of their lives, and hand the stay itself to the people we trust with it, our partner agency SeyBooking. Here is how to think about the days after you say yes.
Three islands, one unhurried honeymoon
The classic Seychelles honeymoon moves gently across the three main islands, and each one gives you something different. Mahé for the arrival, the restaurants and the widest choice of beaches. Praslin for Anse Lazio and a slower pace, with the UNESCO Vallée de Mai at its heart. La Digue for pink granite, bicycles and ox carts and the most photographed sand on earth at Anse Source d'Argent. A fifteen-minute flight or a calm ferry links them, and a week is enough to taste all three without rushing.
Where to stay, from five-star to family-run
We have filmed weddings at nearly every fine resort in the country, so we know which ones deliver the honeymoon they promise. Four Seasons and Anantara Maia on Mahé, Constance Lemuria and Constance Ephelia, Six Senses Zil Pasyon on Félicité, Hilton on Silhouette. We also know the beautiful guest houses and private villas where couples spend a fraction of the price and wake up just as close to the water. Your wedding costs the same whichever you choose, so the stay is purely about the honeymoon you want.
Let SeyBooking arrange the stay
The weddings we run are arranged together with SeyBooking.com, Seychelles wedding and travel specialists on these islands since 2016. They book the hotels, time the ferries around your ceremony, arrange the rental cars and the excursions, and build the whole trip around your wedding date so nothing clashes and nothing is left to chance. One conversation covers the wedding and the honeymoon together.
It means you plan the entire trip through people who live here, rather than stitching it together from a booking site at midnight.
What to actually do out here
Snorkel the marine parks and swim with the season's turtles, wander the prehistoric forest of the Vallée de Mai, take a boat to Curieuse to meet the giant tortoises, and spend a whole afternoon doing nothing at all at Anse Lazio or Anse Georgette. The honeymoon writes itself, and if you would like us to photograph a morning of it, a honeymoon session is one message away.
When to come
The same calm, golden months that suit a wedding suit a honeymoon, so April, May, October and November bring the glassiest seas and the softest light, while the warm season from December to March is lush and popular. Our month-by-month guide lays out every month honestly, so you can choose the mood you want and let us time the wedding day within it.
