We will always give you the honest answer, not a sales pitch.

We will be honest with you, because you deserve that more than a brochure line. Seychelles does not currently offer a legal civil marriage to same-sex couples. Same-sex relationships were decriminalised here in 2016 and the islands are a warm, easy place to visit, but the civil marriage law as it stands is between a man and a woman. What we can create, and have created, is a genuinely beautiful symbolic celebration on the same beaches, with the same care, and a honeymoon that is every bit as special.

The honest legal position

A legally binding civil marriage for a same-sex couple is not available in Seychelles at the time of writing. We would rather tell you that plainly now than have you discover it later. Laws do change over time, and if this matters to you we will confirm the current position honestly when you contact us, rather than guess. If a legally recognised marriage is essential, many couples marry legally at home and then celebrate here, which is a lovely combination.

The celebration we can create

A symbolic ceremony carries no legal weight, but it carries all of the meaning, and on a Seychelles beach at golden hour it is indistinguishable in beauty from any wedding we film. A celebrant leads the ceremony, you write or choose your own words, and we arrange the flowers, the setting, the photography and the film exactly as we would for any couple. For many, saying the words that matter in a place that takes their breath away is the whole point, with or without a certificate.

A welcoming honeymoon

Seychelles is an easy, relaxed place to be a couple on holiday, and it makes a superb honeymoon whether you celebrate here or marry at home first. The three islands, the quiet beaches and the resorts and guest houses we know well are all part of what we can help you plan, hand in hand with our travel partner. Tell us what you are hoping for and we will tell you honestly what we can and cannot do, and then make the part we can do unforgettable.

Good questions

Yes. A symbolic celebration on the beach, with a celebrant, your own vows, flowers, photography and film, is fully possible and every bit as beautiful as any wedding we film. Many couples marry legally at home and celebrate here.
