Cost and packages

How much does a wedding in Seychelles cost?

A complete legal beach wedding is €1,645 on Mahé, €1,990 on Praslin and €2,090 on La Digue. Each package includes the registrar, all government fees, the ceremony setup with gazebo or arch, bouquet, cake, sparkling wine and your marriage certificate with the Supreme Court apostille. Photography, film, styling and music are optional add-ons with printed prices.

How does that compare with a wedding at home?

It is a fraction. Average weddings run to five figures in Germany, the UK and the US before anyone books a honeymoon. Here the ceremony, the legal paperwork and the destination arrive together for less than most receptions alone.

Are there hidden fees?

No. Government fees, registrar fees and the apostille are inside the package price. Add-ons are individually priced and entirely your choice. The price you see is the price you pay.

Do prices change with our hotel?

No. Five-star resort, guest house, villa or a friend's spare room, the wedding runs exactly the same and costs exactly the same.

Can we spread the planning over WhatsApp?

That is how nearly all of it happens. One message starts it, and we reply the same day with dates and honest advice. No forms, no logins, no calls you did not ask for.

Can you help with the rest of the trip?

Yes, through our partner agency SeyBooking, which arranges stays, ferries and rental cars across the islands. Tell us your dates and we will point you right.

Legal and documents

Can foreigners legally marry in Seychelles?

Yes, and easily. There is no residency requirement and no nationality restriction. A civil ceremony conducted by the Seychelles registrar is a full legal marriage recognised internationally.

What documents do we need?

Valid passports and apostilled birth certificates for both partners. Depending on your country and situation, possibly a certificate of no impediment, a divorce decree, a former spouse's death certificate or a name-change certificate. Our documents guide walks through every case.

Is the marriage recognised in the UAE and the Gulf?

Yes. We arrange the attested documents package and the attestation by the UAE Embassy in Seychelles, so the marriage is fully registered when you land back in Dubai, Doha or Riyadh.

How long before the wedding must we arrive?

Normally one to two working days for the registrar formalities. We confirm the exact timing for your date and nationality before you book flights.

Can we really marry within 48 hours?

Most couples can, using the special-licence express route. It costs SCR 500, roughly €35, on top of the package and we arrange it.

Do you provide witnesses?

Yes, free, with every package. Eloping as two is completely normal here.

In which language is the ceremony?

English, French or Creole, your choice. The certificate is issued in English.

Planning and logistics

What is the best time of year?

Every month works. Seychelles sits outside the cyclone belt and stays between roughly 24 and 32 degrees all year. April, May, October and November bring the calmest seas and the kindest light. December to March is the lush, warm, most popular season. June to September is breezier with livelier seas on exposed coasts.

How far ahead should we book?

Two to three months is comfortable, mostly because apostilles take time. For December to March dates, book the date early. In a hurry, ask about the express route instead of ruling anything out.

Which island should we choose?

Mahé for the easiest logistics and the widest choice, and it is where most of our couples marry. Praslin folds the wedding into the honeymoon. La Digue is the iconic one, granite, bicycles and ox carts. There is no wrong answer, and we advise honestly for your dates.

Can we legally marry right on the beach?

Yes. Seychelles is one of the few countries where the civil ceremony itself happens on the sand. You choose the beach, we handle the permit and the whole setup.

Do we need a visa?

No visa is needed for any nationality. A visitor's permit is issued on arrival with a valid passport, your accommodation booked, a return ticket and sufficient funds. No special vaccinations are required.

Should we take travel insurance?

It is not required for entry, but we recommend a policy that covers cancellations and health. Weddings concentrate a lot of value into one week.

Can we combine the civil wedding with a religious ceremony?

Yes. Christian blessings, an Islamic Nikah or other ceremonies can be held alongside the civil wedding, often on the same day. See our Islamic wedding page for the Nikah in detail.

Photography and film

What does photography cost?

€750 on Mahé, €990 on Praslin and €1,030 on La Digue, with RAW files available on request. A cinematic highlight film is from €1,290, €1,550 and €1,640 respectively.

We are marrying at a resort. Can you still shoot it?

Yes, happily. Photography and film are our core craft and we cover weddings arranged by any resort or planner on Mahé, Praslin and La Digue.

Can we see full examples, not highlights?

Yes. Twenty-three complete films are public on our channel with real couples and real resorts in the titles. The films page is the wall.

Do you shoot anything besides weddings?

Couple sessions, honeymoon shoots and proposals, all on request. Tell us the moment you are planning and we will quote it honestly.
